Tirupur: The district Childline officers along side the police stopped a kid marriage close to Dharapuram here on Thursday.
S Murugathal of Chettipalayam close to Dharapuram used to be planning to marry off her 16-year-old daughter, a school dropout, to a 26-year-old man on Monday, police resources said. “Murugathal and her husband Chettimuthu had followed the woman, who's the daughter of Murugathal’s younger sister, for the reason that couple did not have children.
