GURUGRAM: Around 870 land homeowners, whose plots had been got for the long-stuck Global City project, were issued letters qualifying them for allotment of different residential plots beneath the resettlement and rehabilitation (R&R) policy.
The letters, dated June eight, were handed over to the land homeowners of Gadoli Khurd, Harsaru, Mohhamad Pur, Khandsa and Narsinghpur villages on Monday.
Excluding the 870 plot homeowners who were given the approval, over 30 plot homeowners were informed about their ineligibility beneath the R&R policy.
“As of now we've got known who is eligible and who isn't eligible for the change plots. Further we've got given them a month’s time to record their objections, if any, with regard to the eligibility quantum of land,” said a senior Haryana State Industry and Infrastructure Corporation (HSIIDC) legit.
According to the HSIIDC officers, for a landowner to be eligible for an alternative plot, no less than 75% of his/her land must be got by way of the government.
However, officers said that the location of the alternative plots is but to be known.
TOI had previous reported that HSIIDC had written to the deputy commissioner asking him to intervene and expedite the matter which is pending with the district revenue officer.
HSIIDC had received a complete of 907 programs beneath the R&R policy, of which 897 programs were sent to district revenue officer in May 2017. “Land homeowners should pay 10% of the allotment fee for the plots beneath the policy,” said the legit.
In 2003, 1,385 acres of land was once got and the landowners were awarded a repayment of Rs 20 lakh/acre. It was once ultimately revised to Rs1.four crore/acre by way of the Supreme Court. However the government never allotted the change plots to the land-owners which led to several protests. The project was once first launched by way of the Hooda govt.
