Central school Malleswaram to start second shift

BENGALURU: To meet the rising call for for admissions, Kendriya Vidyalaya Malleswaram and 3 other KVs within the country will conduct categories in 2nd shift from 2018-19.

KV-Vasant Kunj in Delhi, KV Bhandup and KV Ajani Nagar in Maharashtra are the other three colleges allowed to run 2nd shift by Union human resource construction (HRD) minister and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan chairperson Prakash Javadekar on June 8.

The 2nd shift can be conducted from 12.30pm to 6pm for Class I to Class VIII. The first shift will start at 7am and recover from by 12.25pm. The newly opened categories will additional increase as much as Class 12 in keeping with feasibility, says the order.

KV Malleswaram is the one faculty among the four to be allowed to function two sections every consistent with class in the second shift.


P Devakumar, deputy commissioner, KV Sanghathan Bengaluru area, mentioned: “Over 1,300 students are within the waiting list for admission to first grade in KV Malleswaram. While the normal intake in every phase in KV colleges is 45, we have a mean of 55 students in some colleges, including this one. At least 640 students beneath the state govt employee quota will benefit from further categories.”


The current students of the college can be moved to the morning shift. Thirtyone posts of training personnel and a vice-principal were sanctioned on June 13.


Devakumar mentioned the vice-principal may have academic and administrative keep an eye on over the afternoon shift categories and students may have separate academics for every subject. Only the physical infrastructure can be shared by students from both shifts.
