GURUGRAM: Around 800 Accredited Social Health Activist (Asha) staff from across the district were detained through police all over their ‘prison bharo’ protest on Friday.
The staff had accrued in front of the Mini Secretariat on Friday and raised slogans in opposition to the management, after which cops took them to a temporary prison set up in Tau Devi Lal stadium. The district management, on the other hand, mentioned this can be a state-level subject. When approached through TOI, district development and panchayat officer Narender Saarwan mentioned: “This is a policy subject which needs to be discussed at the state-level. The district management has no stakes in it.”
