HUBBALLI: Mahadayi activists welcomed a delegation of their comrades, who returned from New Delhi after assembly Union water assets minister Nitin Gadkari, here on Sunday.


The activists welcomed the farmer-activists at Rani Chennamma Circle. They additionally shouted slogans, difficult amicable answers to the Mahadayi water dispute between Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra.


Activist Shankar Ambali informed TOI that the delegation met Gadkari who assured of assembly the activists again in August if the final verdict of the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal, which is handing over final in July, is not ample.


“Gadkari informed us that high minister Narendra Modi assigned him to talk to the delegation. The minister assured that justice might be completed to the three states. Once the final verdict is delivered, further course of action might be determined,” Ambali added.
