GUWAHATI: The Assam government on Wednesday transferred IPS officer Inam-ul-Haq Mengnoo, whose "missing" brother is suspected to have joined a terror outfit in Kashmir.
A 2012-batch officer, Inam-ul-Haq was the superintendent of police, Hamren, in Karbi Anglong district. He has now been positioned with an Assam Police commando battalion close to Guwahati.
The government said it was a "routine transfer".
