LUCKNOW: The PM's constituency Varanasi emerged as essentially the most lively city in UP in terms of Smart City undertaking implementation and knowing its finances released by way of the Centre and state government up to now. Agra and Kanpur followed. The Union ministry of housing and urban building released rating of 87 decided on good cities in India in accordance with expenditure, undertaking implementation and performance in the past 4 years after the challenge used to be introduced.
While Varanasi were given 11th rank in India, Agra and Kanpur stood at 24th and 27th ranks respectively. Lucknow fared worse at fifth in UP and 43rd rank in India. Of the other cities from UP, Allahabad were given 40th rank, Bareilly 50th, Moradabad 61st, Aligarh 77th and Jhansi 81st. Saharanpur did not seem in the record. UP has 10 good cities.
