Coimbatore: A 60-year-old guy was booked on Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted the Ambarampalayam village administrative officer at Anaimalai.
According to the Anaimalai police, Sundararajan, of Kettimallanpudur, approached VAO Rajasekar for a residential certificate and the VAO issued the similar.
“Sundararajan, a farmer, approached the VAO once more. This time, he had told the VAO that he was affected by a kidney ailment and had been undergoing dialysis frequently,” a police officer said. As Sundarajan’s relative was ready to donate a kidney, he requested the VAO to issue a certificate mentioning that the donor was his relatives. But the VAO refused as the donor was dwelling in Tiruvarur. Following this, the farmer assaulted the VAO, the police said.
Based on the VAO’s grievance, the police registered a case in opposition to Sundararajan. tnn
