LUDHIANA: After a controversy together with his lover and her mom, a 22-year-old man committed suicide at his space in Salem Tabri on Tuesday afternoon.
Even as Sarabjit Singh’s family rushed him to a nearby clinic, he may just not be stored.
His family advised the police that Sarabjit, a hairdresser, used to be in a courting with Ramandeep Kaur, 24, a resident of Manoj Nagar. “Ramandeep, along with her mom Paramjit Kaur, came to our space and started arguing with Sarabjit over a topic. The two then took Sarabjit along. After sometime when Sarabjit returned home, he advised us that he had fed on a poison. As he started vomiting, we took him to a clinic. But he succumbed,” said his mom.
Accusing Ramandeep and her mom, 50, of forcing Sarabjit to take the intense step, the family has lodged a police complaint.
Salem Tabri police station SHO inspector Vijay Kumar said, “Sarabjit’s family is unaware about the reason for dispute between the two. On their complaint, Ramandeep and Paramjit have been booked for abetment to suicide. Their arrest will help identify the explanation that made Sarabjit end his lifestyles.”
