MANGALURU: Mangaluru town police late on Tuesday nabbed an individual who used to be making an attempt to cross pretend jewellery as authentic and recovered 900 grams of such jewellery from his possession.

Based on a tip off from the landlord of a store in Thokkottu that an individual used to be making an attempt to promote pretend jewellery, personnel from Ullal police station headed by way of PI Gopikrishna Okay R raided the place and nabbed the accused - Praveen Veera Rathore, 21 of Nithyananda Nagar, Ramtek in Nagpur.


DCP (law and order) Hanumantraya in a release said the store proprietor on the industrial advanced were given a doubt when Praveen tried to promote jewellery value Rs 30 lakh for a mere Rs 3 lakh and knowledgeable the police.
