PMPML approves purchase of 1,223 buses

PUNE: The board of directors of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) lately approved acquire of a total of one,233 buses together with 500 electrical buses. The delivery of electric buses would take time, PMPML chairman and managing director Nayana Gunde mentioned. About 376 buses are coming being delivered to Pimpri Chinchwad from Pune. The proposed BRTS routes from Nigdi to Dapodi, Kalewadi phata to Dehu Alandi highway could be began shortly. Bus operations have already began on Sangvi-Kiwale and Nashik phata to Wakad BRTS corridors. A PMPML divisional workplace has been set up at Meghaji Lokhande corridor at Pimpri to handle the grievancens of electorate, corporators and elected office-bearers, Gunde mentioned.

PCMC joint town engineer Rajan Patil made a presentation about parking policy which shall be tabled on the common body assembly on June 20. The proposed policy is for three different zones, high parking demand, heart parking demand and occasional parking demand. The municipal corporation proposes to have parking charges at Rs 2 according to hour for 2 wheelers and Rs 10 for 4 wheelers for high parking demand. The policy is for all BRTS roads, Pimpri Camp, Bhosarigaon, Nashik phata over bridge, Kasarwadi and Akurdi railway stations, Dehu Alandi highway and from Bhumkar chowk to KSB chowk, Patil mentioned.
