Coimbatore: Schoolteachers from the district have raised concerns over the splitting of Coimbatore tutorial district into four.
While Coimbatore used to be divided into four tutorial districts and a district tutorial officer (DEO) has been appointed for each and every district, teachers say the varsity tutorial department had no longer consulted them sooner than taking the verdict.
Government schoolteachers from the district said teachers and oldsters from some spaces had to commute long distances to succeed in the DEO’s workplace, below the current plan. They said the provision of public transport used to be no longer thought to be whilst splitting the district.
However, schooling department officials said the verdict used to be taken after consulting the stakeholders and with due attention.
A schoolteacher said in the present plan, the workplace of the SS Kulam DEO is recently situated in Ondipudur. “If a mum or dad or a teacher from Annur has to succeed in the DEO’s workplace with a topic, they must take a bus to Gandhipuram and then take another bus from Gandhipuram to Ondipudur, which would cause a large number of inconvenience,” said a government schoolteacher.
Teachers additionally said in the present scheme, Periyanaickenpalayam and Karamadai panchayat unions were clubbed along side Coimbatore city because the Coimbatore tutorial district, which used to be contradictory.
Currently, Coimbatore city, Periyanaickenpalayam and Karamadai come below Coimbatore tutorial district; Kinathukadavu, Madukkarai, Thondamuthur, and Perur come below Perur tutorial district; Sarkarsamakulam, Annur, Sulur and Sultanpet come below Sarkarsamakulam tutorial district; and Valparai, Pollachi South, Pollachi North and Anamalai come below Pollachi tutorial district.
Saying the varsity schooling department had determined on these divisions with out consulting headmasters, teachers or workplace employees, they said the best technique to divide the district into tutorial districts used to be as follows:
Coimbatore (South) tutorial district: Kinathukadavu, Madukkarai, Thondamuthur, Perur; Coimbatore (North) tutorial district: Coimbatore city, Sulur, Sultanpet, Sarkarsamakulam; Mettupalayam tutorial district: Periyanaickenpalayam, Karamadai, Annur; and Pollachi tutorial district be retained as it is now.
