UPPSC to conduct main exams as SC rules out re-evaluation

NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) can now behavior major tests for various positions because the Supreme Court on Thursday allowed its attraction challenging Allahabad High Court order directing re-evaluation of the answer-sheets.

The top court docket had ordered the re-evaluation of the reply sheets of the candidates on the basis of the proper answer to the questions. The Supreme Court order on Thursday effectively ruled out the re-evaluation as was once ordered through the top court docket.


A vacation bench of Justice Uday Umesh Lalit and Justice Deepak Gupta allowed the UPPSC plea.


The preliminary examinations were held in 2017 and major tests were scheduled to be carried out on June 18.


Earlier, major tests were slated to be hung on May 18 but as a result of the High Court order directing re-evaluation of the answer-sheet, the tests were re-scheduled for June 18.
