KOLKATA: West Bengal govt has made up our minds to increase the transport fare by Re 1 in each and every degree. Transport minister Subhendu Adhikari stated that the state govt used to be pressured to move for a fare hike because the BJP govt at the Centre used to be unable to check the diesel worth.
The initial fare for private buses will be Rs 7 and that for mini bus will be Rs 8. Adhikari stated that the bus fare for state owned PSUs may even move up by Re 1 in each and every degree. The remaining fare hike in Bengal came about in 2014.
