GURUGRAM: A 22-year-old cab driver used to be arrested on Tuesday for molesting a 14-year-old girl in a housing board colony in Sector 51.
According to the police, the incident happened round 7pm on Monday when the lady, a school dropout used to be on my own at home. The accused, Deepak Kumar, resides at the floor ground of a development whilst the lady along side her circle of relatives had been staying at the first ground.
The girl instructed police that seeing her on my own at the balcony, Kumar groped her from at the back of and attempted to drag her inside. As the 14-year previous raised an alarm the neighbours came to her rescue and the accused fled. A PCR name used to be made by way of the neighbours. In the intervening time the lady’s folks returned home.
Following their complaint an FIR used to be registered under Section 8 of POCSO Act at the Women police station, Sector 51.
The cab driver, who used to be absconding since the incident, used to be arrested on Tuesday night from the colony.
Meanwhile, the lady recorded her commentary in courtroom under Section 164 of the CrPC on Tuesday. “The accused has confessed to the crime. He will br produced in courtroom on Wednesday,” said inspector Poonam Hudda, SHO of Women police station.
