Berhampur: A 40-year-old girl and her 14-year-old daughter died in an accident at Makundapur on Aska-Buguda Road, about 45km from here, on Tuesday.
The deceased have been recognized as G.Kantala Reddy and her daughter Tejaswini. The duo at the side of Sikili Reddy was going to Aska hospital on a motorcycle when the accident happened. Sikili, who was injured, is present process treatment at Aska hospital.
Police stated the motorcycle on which they have been travelling dashed towards the rear of a shifting truck. All three have been rushed to the hospital, where medical doctors declared the duo dead. The truck was seized and its driver detained. tnn
