GURUGRAM: A 24-year-old man has been booked for stalking and blackmailing a lady for the previous seven months after clicking her objectionable footage.
According to the girl (30), who's married and a resident of Laxman Vihar, the accused — Pradeep Kumar Pandey (24), a resident of Kaushambi in Allahabad — had come to their house on December 1, 2017 and stayed there for 15 days.
“My husband did not object to him staying at our place as he was once my brother’s good friend. After returning to Kaushambi, Pradeep started calling me up at peculiar hours. I discovered his behaviour bizarre and started ignoring his calls. Then he sent me a few of my footage and movies that he had clicked whilst I was bathing and changing garments,” the girl stated.
The girl alleged that she was once being blackmailed for the previous seven months. “He used to threaten me pronouncing that he would make those movies and pictures public if I didn’t visit him in Allahabad.
On Monday, Pradeep forwarded the clippings and pictures to the girl’s husband. On being requested the girl told her husband that the accused was once blackmailing her from the previous several months. They then approached the cops and filed a complaint against the accused.
An FIR was once registered below sections 354-D (stalking), 385 (striking particular person in fear so as to dedicate extortion) of the IPC and sections 67 and 67A of Information generation (IT) Act at Sector 9A police station.
“We have won the decision records and copies of the video and pictures from the girl. We are engaging in raids to nab Pradeep. He will quickly be in the back of the bars,” stated SHO Sudhir Kumar.
