HYDERABAD: A person was once arrested for creating a pretend writ petition against his in-laws, hoping to depart their assets in his minor daughter’s name. Charminar police apprehended Karumuri Venkata Ratna Reddy, a resident of Guntur district in AP, and sent him to judicial remand on Friday.
Reddy, used Writ serial quantity No 10090, from an unrelated case, on a pretend writ he created, and sent it to the revenue divisional officer and mandal revenue officer at Tadepally, directing them to have his partner's mother Malleshwari vacate her assets in Guntur, and the valuables over to his minor daughter.
Suspecting the writ to be faux, Malleshwari approached the High Court, following which the joint registrar (judicial) of High Court of AP Ramakrishnaiah filed a grievance in Charminar police station. Police registered a case of forgery and dishonest against Reddy. Reddy, who has been absconding since then, was once in spite of everything arrested on Thursday.
