TRICHY: The Trichy police on Tuesday arrested a 39-year-old guy for allegedly working a prostitution ring and rescued two girls.
The accused has been recognized as S Rajasekar, hailing from Anaicut village in Vellore district.
According to the police, the prostitution ring used to be being run in a rented house in Ponmalaipatti. M Chandrasekar of Ponmalaipatti filed a grievance with the police concerning the alleged prostitution ring, following which the case used to be registered.
The police mentioned Chandrasekar, who used to be standing in a side road in Ponmalai on Tuesday, used to be allegedly approached through a person soliciting him.
A police staff, which used to be despatched to bust the prostitution ring, wondered Rajasekar in accordance with the identification given through Chandrasekar. The accused allegedly confessed to working the prostitution ring. He had made two girls, who were from deficient households, engage in prostitution.
Rajasekar used to be arrested and remanded in judicial custody. The two girls, who were rescued, were despatched to govt coverage home in Trichy.
