SRINAGAR: A day after the police recovered the bullet-riddled body of constable Saleem Shah of the J&Ok Police, the safety forces killed three terrorists, including one from Pakistan, in an stumble upon on Sunday morning. The stumble upon happened in Kulgam district of South Kashmir.
According to a police spokesman, the slain militants have been responsible for the killing of Saleem, who was abducted on Friday night time from his house and whose body was recovered from a nearby village on Saturday.
“In the wee hours of Sunday, a joint patrol of security forces launched searches in the Redwani house of Kulgam district after receiving credible inputs about the presence of the terrorists in a cluster of houses,” the spokesman mentioned.
As the safety forces advanced, the terrorists holed up in the properties opened fire, leading to a brief stumble upon during which the trio was killed. No collateral harm passed off throughout the stumble upon, the spokesman added.
“On the root of the incriminating fabrics seized from the spot, the killed terrorists have been known as Muawiya from Pakistan, Suhail Ahmad Dar of Redwani Balaa and Mudassar alias Rehaan of Katarsoo village -- all involved in the killing of constable Saleem. As according to police records, the terrorists have been affiliated to proscribed terror outfits Lashkar-e-Taeba and Hizbul Mujahideen,” he mentioned.
Pakistani terrorist Mauwiya was excited by a lot of civilian killings in J&Ok. Meanwhile, a firing incident was reported throughout a cordon-and-search operation in Shumriyal woodland house of Lolab in North Kashmir's Kupwara district in the wee hours of Sunday. Reports mentioned that some gunshots have been heard in the forests when the Army's 28 RR seek birthday party was transferring through the house.
Kupwara SSP Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar mentioned the quest birthday party was fired upon via a bunch of militants in the forests, resulting in a brief trade of gunfire. The complete house was underneath cordon and searches have been underway to track the militants, Dinkar added.
