HYDERABAD: The loss of life of 2 animals in a span of 2 weeks at the Nehru Zoological Park and that four extra animals are preventing for their lives within the zoo's scientific facility, has raised considerations concerning the healthcare of inmates and efficacy of treatment.
Although the animals in enclosures look healthy and are being supplied with all necessary amenities, the two deaths seem to have introduced new demanding situations for the zoo government in maintaining the healthcare of animals.
While officials admitted that four extra animals are battling for life within the zoo's scientific facility, they said each the animals that died - a 44-year-old feminine elephant and a 15-year-old Asiatic lion - got the best hospital therapy.
However, the initial analysis and explanation for loss of life did not fit with the post-mortem reviews in each circumstances.
After the loss of life of elephant Jamuna on June 19, the zoo government said in a media conversation that the animal was once affected by kidney infection, had a sprained hind leg and was once being handled for it via pain killers, antibiotics and multi-vitamins and was once below consistent remark.

Similarly, relating to the Asiatic lion - Crazy - who died on June 28, the officials informed, an afternoon before the post-mortem, that the lion died because of a couple of organ failure. But the post-mortem examination published that the reason for loss of life was once septicaemia.
"He was suffering from wounds on the fore head and fore limb, blood in urine, haematuria and self-inflicted injuries," the click be aware said.
