Ashwin goes past Allan Donald on most Test wickets tally

NEW DELHI: India's premier spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on Saturday surpassed former South African rapid bowler Allan Donald on the listing of maximum Test wickets. Ashwin had 327 wickets to his title earlier than the first Test in opposition to the West Indies in Rajkot and the off-spinner went past Donald in taste.

Ashwin claimed 4 wickets in West Indies' first innings after which took another in the second to go past Donald on the tally of best Test wicket-takers.

Ashwin dismissed Shai Hope (10), Roston Chase (53), Sherman Lewis ((0) and Shannon Gabriel (1) in the first innings after which got rid of West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite (10) in the second innings to achieve the feat.

Ashwin is now 24th on the total tally of maximum Test wickets.
