24 students of two schools take ill after vaccination

KANPUR: As many as 24 scholars of two public colleges — Sanatan Dharm Balika Inter College and Raghunath Prasad Mishra Inter Collage — in the town fell unwell after being administered measles-rubella vaccine on Thursday.


Following the vaccination, several scholars of the 2 colleges complained of nausea, fever, stomach ache and vomiting had to be admitted to the district health facility.


A well being department respectable said he had tested the vaccines administered to the students in the afternoon and found them to be so as.


District Justice of the Peace Vijay Vishwas Pant said there used to be no need to panic as not unusual negative effects equivalent to fever, rashes, nausea and dizziness may just occur in some cases following such vaccination.


He added that 24 scholars were discharged from the health facility by Thursday night time.
