GHAZIABAD: A seven-year-old boy died of head injuries after an SUV that was part of a wedding procession careened out of regulate while appearing road stunts and hit 3 individuals in Nandgram space of Ghaziabad on Wednesday night time.
The driver of the Scorpio, a resident of Delhi, has been arrested, police stated.
Vansh Kumar’s father Mohan informed TOI that his son was hit via the SUV around 10pm when he had long past out to observe the marriage party passing during the space.
“A group corridor is situated simply few metres clear of our area and a wedding serve as was being held there at night time. We have been having dinner when some loud track began coming inside. Out of interest, Vansh stepped out to find out what was occurring,” he stated.
After some time when Vansh didn't return, his father went outside to look for him.“On enquiry, any individual informed me that my son was hit via an SUV which was doing stunts on the road, and its driver had taken him to a hospital. We frantically searched for him and after an hour found that he was admitted to a non-public hospital in Kavi Nagar,” Mohan added.
Vansh, a pupil of Class II at Guru Nanak Public School in Lohia Nagar, succumbed to his head injuries on Thursday morning, police stated. He lived together with his parents and three-year-old sister in a rented accommodation in Nandgram’s D Block.
An FIR has been registered towards Samsuddin, a resident of Old Seemapuri in Delhi, below sections 338 (inflicting grievous hurt via act endangering existence or private safety of others), 279 (rash driving) and 304 A (inflicting dying due to negligence) of IPC at Sihani Gate police station. He was later arrested.
In his complaint, Mohan alleged that two different individuals have been also hit via the SUV, despite the fact that a police officer stated that no person else has approached them with court cases. “There is a possibility that that they had received minor injuries and didn't in finding it necessary to record a complaint,” he added.
