No discount on Metro return ticket from Saturday

MUMBAI: From Saturday, Metro commuters won't be able to avail cut price on return journey tickets on the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar corridor. The cut price will still be on offer on retailer value go (SVP) and per thirty days go back and forth go (MTP), said officials.

This way, the return journey fare for 2-5km, 5-8km and over 8km shall be revised to Rs 40, Rs 60 and Rs 75 respectively.

“We have proposed to withdraw the Rs 2.50 according to go back and forth (journey) cut price from December 1. However, the prevailing cut price on SVP and MTP will proceed,” said a spokesperson of Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd, including that that is being done to encourage commuters to upgrade to SVPs and MTPs.
