Radio Mirchi profit after tax up 50% in Q2

MUMBAI: Entertainment Network (India), the operator of India’s No. 1 FM radio channel Radio Mirchi, on Friday announced its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2018.

The corporate posted a complete revenue of Rs 122.5 crore all through the quarter, as compared to Rs 125.Three crore in Q2FY18. Reported earnings before hobby, tax, depreciation and amortisation (ebitda) all through the quarter is Rs 27.Three crore, down Three.nine%, however underlying ebitda is upper. Profit after tax (PAT) grew by 50.2% to Rs eight.nine crore for the quarter ended September 2018.

Commenting at the results, ENIL MD & CEO Prashant Panday said, “50% increase in PAT, mid-single digit radio growth, upper margins in non-FCT industry, rising profitability in Phase-Three stations, a success execution of the Bryan Adams concert all point against a solid performance in Q2. The slight dip in reported revenues is fully because of the shift within the pageant season to Q3. We be expecting Q3 to be 1 / 4 of solid growth.”
