VARANASI: At least 3 women had been killed and four others suffered grave injuries when an uncontrolled SUV ran over them near Surahurpur village beneath Mohammadabad Gohna police station in Mau district on Tuesday.
To visit a temple for providing prayer, a group of about a dozen women from Surahurpur village used to be status alongside Mohammadabad street looking forward to some car. In the period in-between an uncontrolled SUV ran over them before felling into a roadside ditch and turning turtle.
One Shyama (55) died on the spot whilst two different succumbed to injuries at community well being middle of Mohammadabad. In view of critical condition of the four injured women, docs referred them to trauma middle of Azamgarh district.
Angered over the incident villagers attacked the SUV. After beating its driver Awadhesh Yadav brutally the angry mob of locals set the SUV ablaze. Inspector Mohammadabad Gohna MP Singh mentioned that the SUV driver have been arrested whilst our bodies of the women had been sent for postmortem.
