Now, Rajputs and Brahmins demand reservation

AHMEDABAD: After Patidars, Rajputs and Brahmin communities in Gujarat have asked OBC commission for extra reservation quota.

Leaders of Rajput group stated that they're eight according to cent of the full population and thus similar to Marathas in Maharashtra, they would like eight according to cent reservation in Gujarat.


Samast Gujarat Brahm Samaj in a letter to OBC commission demanded a survey to incorporate them in OBC. Head of Gujarat Brahm Samaj Yagnesh Dave stated that 60 lakh Brahmins in Gujarat are nine.five according to cent of the full polulation. 42 lakh brahmins are financially susceptible. He asked Government of Gujarat to adopt a survey and provides reservation to Brahmins.


Rajput Garasiya Samaj Sangathan met Sugnaben Bhatt, Head of OBC commssion in person and submitted a written petition. Rajan Chawada, chief of Rajput Samaj of Gandhinagar district stated that Rajput Garasdar will have to be included in OBC and will have to be allotted additional quota in OBC class.


Their arguement is that Rajputs aren't given equivalent alternatives at paintings place and in schooling box. They are mainly depended upon farming. Additionally, compared to different communities, the number of incomes ladies is less in their group. They stated that the Constitution does now not mention that simplest 50 according to cent reservation will have to be given.
