ALLAHABAD: Agitated over loss of basic facilities at the campus together with clean and ok numbers of bogs and common hall in more than a few departments of Allahabad University, the scholar federation of India (SFI) staged their protest at the campus of Arts school, on Thursday.
Through their protest at the campus SFI demanded that the woman scholars of AU are ceaselessly going through number of problems for which the varsity authorities will have to begin forming of board named Gender sensitization against sexual harassment at the campus. "The atmosphere for the female students on the campus cannot be termed as 'fit' by any bench mark, there are neither sufficient numbers of toilet for the girl students nor the facility of common hall in the departments", Suyarsh Maurya, unit secretary of SFI, AU.
In their protest, SFI demanded that sanitary napkin vending system will have to be installed in the entire departments of AU without any extend in order that the feminine scholar do not face awkward scenario.
SFI also staged a 'nukkad nattak' (boulevard play) in front of the Urdu department of the Arts campus. The play, titled 'chithi' depicted several of the problems confronted by the ladies within the country together with the ones bobbing up from inequality and atrocities against them.
