Police get vital clues in identifying culprits

Mysuru: Ramapura police probing the Sulwadi Maramma temple poisoning case have detained 10 individuals up to now.
Chamarajanagar SP Dharmender Kumar Meena stated, "We haven't detained any seer. Saluru junior seer Mahadeva Swamy, head of Maramma Temple Seva Samiti, is being wondered.”

On Tuesday, police detained a few agricultural division body of workers who allegedly bought the insecticide to probably the most detainees. Police are investigating how pesticide bottles reached the temple. They have recognized both supplier and buyer of the pesticide and this will allow them to verify when the liquid used to be combined with food served at the temple and who did it.

Meanwhile, allegations of drive on police to save an influential particular person are doing the rounds. "One of the accused belongs to an influential community and there’s drive on police to save him," said police sources. Meena refuted it. "I have never received a single call from any person. It is false information," he stated.

The district management has sealed the temple. Kollegal taluk management has locked the temple and no puja has been performed since Friday.

BB Kaveri, DC, Chamarajanagar, stated, "We have directed the temple management to not perform any task without our permission."

She added that a few patients admitted to medical institution due to mental trauma could also be discharged on Wednesday. "I’ve directed the DHO to organize a listing of patients who may also be discharged," she stated.
