AHMEDABAD: The town cyber cellular will keep a hawk’s eye on inner online shopping portals this Uttarayan. On Monday, town cyber cellular has issued notices to 12 online shopping portals to prevent selling Chinese kite spools, nylon manja, tukkal and other kite flying comparable items prohibited via the regulation.
The deputy commissioner of police of cyber cellular Rajdeepsinh Jhala said after the notification of banning such items all through Uttarayan was issued via town police commissioner they had been scanning online shopping portals who still used to sell prohibited items.
“We have sent notices to 12 such online portals and requested them to prevent selling such items or face felony motion of violating the notification of town police commissioner” he said.
DCP Jhala said they'd be tracking social media for online buyers also. "If they are found using such prohibited items during Uttarayan, they will have to face legal consequences" he added.
In a tweet, Ahmedabad town police has warned uploading, selling, stocking and use of Tukkal (string lamps), Chinese manja, nylon kite flying thread along side other manja harmful to human and chook lives are banned.
