Delhi government willing to provide funds for viable solutions to Mangaluru waste management: Minister

MANGALURU: Delhi government was looking for simple, viable, decentralised and urban answers and was keen to offer finances to counter the Mangaluru’s waste control problem, Satyendar Jain, minister of industries and urban construction said at an ASSOCHAM event held in New Delhi.

“Managing waste isn't a difficult process as several applied sciences are to be had for a similar that don't value much however even if there may be want for finances, then Delhi Government will give you the same,” said Jain addressing delegates at the nationwide conference on ‘Managing Urban Waste.’


“For firms, transporting trash is a trade value Rs 1,000 crore, so they do not let it be controlled in the neighborhood,” Jain added. He lamented that no person was keen to talk against municipal firms in Delhi, he said.


He added, "We need to holistically look at the politics being done over trash, we need to simplify things instead of making them complex."


Jain also said that whilst many committees were constituted by way of quite a lot of authorities, none of them were keen to just accept that there was an answer for managing the waste.
