Haryana govt approves Rs 90 crore for 2nd phase of Ambala sewage system

AMBALA: Haryana cupboard minister Anil Vij said on Friday that the federal government has authorized Rs 90 crore for the second one section of sewage machine beneath the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) Scheme.


Under the next section, 131-km-long sewage pipelines will likely be laid in Ambala Sadar zone.


Ambala Municipal Corporation commissioner Satinder Siwatch said, “The state-level technical committee has authorized the attention inviting delicate (NIT) and in a while, the tenders will likely be floated to increase the sewage machine in Ambala Sadar zone. For second section of growth of sewage machine, the volume of Rs 90 crore has been authorized for 131-km-long sewage pipelines within a length of 24 months after the tenders are allocated; two intermediate sewage pumping stations at Defence Colony and Sai Ka Bagh; two sewage treatment vegetation and two sewage pumping stations at Babiyal and village Machonda within a length of 15 months after the tenders are allocated.”


Under the second one section, the sewage pipeline will likely be installed in village Babiyal, Machonda, Shahpur, Chandrapuri Colony, Sai Ka Bagh, Shivala Mandi, and other colonies.


“Under the works of the primary section of sewage machine in Ambala Sadar zone, finances of Rs 125 crore have been allocated, and the spaces of ward 13, 14, 15, 17, and 18 are being covered. More than two dozen colonies including Maheshnagar, Dayal Bagh, Shiv Pratap Nagar, Gobind Nagar, Rampur, Sarsheri, Chandpura, Bharat Nagar, Preet Nagar, Agrasen Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, and others have been covered. In the primary section, 162-km-long sewage pipeline is being installed and till date, the 41km has already installed.”
