Jharkhand's famed Deoghar temple initiates drive to identify and conserve donated properties

RANCHI: In a singular pressure, the Deoghar district management has initiated an exercise to identify and collate all movable and immovable houses belonging to the famed Baba Baidyanath Temple in and out of doors Jharkhand, for preserving and maintaining them. Talking to TOI, Deoghar deputy commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha stated that he has written a letter to his counterparts in Jamui (Bihar) and Faizabad (Uttar Pradesh) after coming to understand about the houses belonging to this temple.

Detailing about the temple houses in Jamui district, Sinha stated, “As consistent with our information, around 25.87 acre land (pond), which was once donated to the temple, exist in Hariandi and Karmatand village. Approximately, 10.29 acre land is in Hariandi, and rest in Karmatand. So I have written to district management there to get its main points, soliciting for to finish unlawful settlements, transparent encroachment or different hurdles if any in order that the temple consider can take its possession through proper arrangements for putting it to good use.”


Similarly, in UP’s Faizabad, immovable houses (farm and land) measuring around an acre is situated in two mouzas (hamlets) in Hasua panchayat. The houses alternatively are collectively shared through Deoghar and Badrinath-Kedarnath temple.
