Not against SC verdict, say Kadakampally, TDB chief

Thiruvananthapuram: Devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran and Travancore devaswom board (TDB) president A Padmakumar, who came beneath flak from the executive minister and the CPM state secretary, have mentioned that they have got by no means commented against the decision of the Supreme Court permitting women entry to Sabarimala.
Padmakumar mentioned the TDB president has no proper to mention that women must no longer come to Sabarimala, especially when there's an SC order permitting women entry. “Whatever the executive minister has mentioned on this is true. No one has the right to remark against the decision,” mentioned the TDB president.

While clarifying the observation he had made all through the Mandalam competition, Padmakumar mentioned he had best pointed out the difficulties the devotees needed to face when two women had been trekking to enter the holly shrine. “There had been over one lakh devotees at Sannidhanam then. Had the ladies reached there at that time, it will have created critical difficulties. I had best pointed this out,” Padmakumar mentioned.

The best purpose of the board is to avert any issues at Sabarimala when there's heavy rush of devotees. All the statements made had been out of this context and it must no longer be treated as feedback against the SC verdict, he added.

Meanwhile, Surendran mentioned he had pointed out the limitations the ladies devotees who are coming to Sabarimala must face. The government has the responsibility to obey the Supreme Court order and nobody who is holding a constitutional position has the right to head against the decision.

Surendran mentioned he has defined this to the celebration and used to be ready to rectify if any observation has been made against the court verdict. “The fear used to be best about providing security to ladies,” he mentioned.
