THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Though Saturday was once a calm day, in comparison to the previous two days when violence dominated the streets, police endured the arrest of suspects curious about violent incidents. No primary violent incident was once reported on Saturday, though tension prevailed in Kannur and portions of Pathanamthitta.

Police arrested three,282 individuals across the state in 1,286 circumstances registered in connection with the violence that began on Thursday. As many as 37,979 individuals had been made culprits in those circumstances. Among the arrested, 487 had been remanded, whilst 2,795 had been granted bail. Most choice of circumstances had been registered in Kannur (169) and Palakkad (166).


As many as 298 had been arrested in Palakkad whilst it was once 230 in Kannur. In Thrissur rural, police registered 57 circumstances through which 149 individuals had been arrested. On Saturday, two Youth Congress activists, who attempted to wave black flags at the chief minister, had been taken into custody in the capital.

Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan warned that no one would be allowed to ‘deal with an atmosphere of concern’ in state. He flayed BJP, RSS and Sangh Parivar for the ongoing violence. “What is being achieved, in many places, is part of what had been deliberate. The intention of Sangh Parivar activists – attacking people’s representatives and media individuals, vandalising public structures and places of work of political parties – is to create a provocative scenario in state. Government will act in contrast attempt. RSS might not be allowed to create an atmosphere of concern in state,” he stated. Though the state will have to stand united in this kind of scenario, it was once unfortunate that some parties, including Congress, don't seem to be doing so for political pursuits, he claimed.

Rubbishing studies that police had been useless in controlling violence, Vijayan stated there was once no lapse on the a part of the police and the dep. had taken enough precautions expecting untoward incidents.


He stated people had shown admirable restraint despite makes an attempt to provoke them. “People’s representatives, including MLAs, had been attacked. People will have to proceed this restrain as violence is the way in which of just one segment and it will be handled via the federal government,” he stated.


Prohibitory order prolonged in Sabarimala


Meanwhile, Pathanamthitta district administration has made up our minds to extend prohibitory orders in Sabarimala till January 14. The previous order was once set to run out on Saturday nighttime. District collector P B Nooh made up our minds to extend prohibitory orders, underneath Section 144 of the CrPC, till the top of Makaravilakku season.
