SP & BSP join hands for 2019, leave out Cong

LUCKNOW: In what spells a challenge for BJP within the Lok Sabha elections, BSP and SP have decided to contest the 2019 polls together in Uttar Pradesh and are prone to formally announce a seat-sharing pact without Congress.

The two events have decided to contest an equal collection of seats, perhaps 37 each and every of the 80 seats, within the politically pivotal state. The two have decided not to box candidates in Amethi and Rae Bareli, constituencies of Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, respectively. They are also ready to put aside seats for Jat chief Ajit Singh's RLD, while efforts are on to rope in OBC outfits like Nishad Party and the Krishna Patel faction of Apna Dal to forge a bigger social combination to take on the dominant BJP.

Sources stated while SP used to be insisting on parity, it used to be now not averse to conceding a few seats more to BSP to ensure a smooth partnership with Mayawati, who revels in bargaining onerous.
