Stenographer forges Siddaramaiah’s sign, held

BENGALURU: Two individuals, including a stenographer who used to paintings with former leader minister Siddaramaiah’s place of job, had been arrested on the charges of forging the ex-CM’s signature.


Police said the duo had issued a letter within the title of Siddaramaiah to the secretary of the backward classes welfare division, directing him to free up Rs 200 crore against construction of a Kuruba neighborhood corridor at Sangolli, Belagavi.


The accused are stenographer Gurunath and his good friend Siddaruda, president of the Kuruba union in Timmapura village, Sangolli. Investigations revealed that Siddaruda had implemented for a Kuruba neighborhood corridor in 2016. “Later, he met Gurunath and hatched the plan to issue the letter through forging Siddaramaiah’s signature. However, the backward elegance welfare division secretary, grew suspicious and on shut scanning, came upon that the signature used to be cast. It took us a very long time to track the accused since we had to question greater than 50 suspects sooner than zeroing on the duo,” cops said.


The accused had been remanded in judicial custody.
