Hubballi: The presence of thoughts of Mounesh Kondegoal, the waterman who pumps water to Teggihalli and Shakapur villages from the neatly in Mudnur village in Yadgir district, helped in fending off a major tragedy. His quick pondering to alert other people to not drink the neatly water suspected to be laced with pesticide stored many lives.
Speaking to TOI, Mounesh stated, “I had kept the valve in auto get started mode to pump water to those two villages through the pipeline. When power got here at 3pm, pumping of water began mechanically. My mother informed me the water smells unusual and that she suspects something is mixed in it. She asked me to alert the villagers.”
“I rushed to the neatly and brought it to the awareness of our PDO and different officers, who, in turn, asked me to alert villagers. I along side others alerted other people of each villages by means of beating drums. This used to be inside of an hour of water being provided. But by means of then 8-10 other people had already drank the water,” stated, Mounesh who, too, is being treated.
Mounesh stated that he discovered pesticide bottles and burnt packets near the neatly. “It may well be the pesticide we use for paddy,” he added.
Mounesh Pujar, son of deceased Honnamma, and different villagers of Teggihalli stated that there's no dispute or enmity with somebody of their village or the neighbouring village.
But, police should inquiry it to know the explanations for this act and convey the culprits to e book right away.
DySP Shivangowda Patil stated that initial inquiry points to the alleged handiwork of miscreants from Mudnur who've voiced their resentment at having to proportion their neatly water with Teggihalli and Shakapur villages.
Another principle used to be that individuals who wanted to tarnish the waterman, may have committed the crime. “We are probing all angles,” he added.
PDO detained
After Honnamma died, Teggihalli villagers took officers to activity and detained PDO Siddramappa Baradolagi in a room. Following the intervention of DC Kurma Rao M, SP Iada Martin Marbaniang and different officers, villagers let the PDO out.

Yadgir district minister Rajashekhar Patil visited the Shahapur taluk health facility and assured the ones hospitalized that the accused might be arrested on the earliest.
