RAJKOT: The Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) jointly arranged a workshop with International Solar Alliance on ‘Cooling Smart towns: The arrival of district power in India” on Thursday. UN Environment India head Atul Bagai, further director of International Solar Alliance, Rajeev Gyani and chief secretary JN Singh also take part in the match.


Indian’s first district cooling gadget has been installed at GIFT town in Gandhinagar and now Rajkot, Bhopal, Coimbatore, Pune and Thane are in the process to put in the program beneath good town initiative. The district cooling gadget can be installed at Raiya greenfield good town deliberate beneath the Centre’s Smart City Mission throughout 930 acres.


J N Singh stated, “The state government objectives to produce 5,000 MW solar power and for that district cooling gadget can be useful.” India head of UN Environment Atul Bagai stated, “In India the demand of AC and electrical energy is increasing. We wish to cut back the carbon emission. The district cooling gadget is effective solution.”
