GURUGRAM: The Haryana govt is making ready to move a invoice within the meeting to amend the 118-year-old Punjab Land Preservation Act (PLPA), the regulation that bars construction activity in huge sections of the Aravalis.
Multiple govt sources and senior bureaucrats have informed IdealNews the invoice has been licensed by way of the cabinet and could be tabled within the meeting consultation. The modification, they stated, seeks to take away PLPA from spaces notified below a Master Plan. Should this go through, Delhi's neighbourhood will feel the maximum impact since all of Gurugram, most of Faridabad and ecological preserves like Mangar Bani will go out of PLPA.
A senior woodland officer stated, "The forest department should be closed as it will have no role anymore. It's better to shut the department and transfer officers to other units."
