CUDDALORE: Cuddalore mahila court pass judgement on D Lingeswaran on Tuesday sentenced a 26-year-old man to 20 years rigorous imprisonment for committing irritated penetrative sexual assault on a minor lady. The pass judgement on additionally slapped a wonderful of Rs 10,000.

According to important public prosecutor K Selvapriya showing on behalf of the state, S Sathiamoorthy, 26 hailing from a village near Vridhachalam, who was identified to the survivor, informed her that her boyfriend attempted to commit suicide by way of consuming poison on March 11, 2017.
He further mentioned that her boyfriend was admitted to a clinic in Coimbatore and if she didn't discuss with him within the clinic, police would arrest her. Her boyfriend was Sathimaoorthy’s cousin Vijendiran.
Sathiamoorthy, a employee at a garment unit in Tirupur, took her to Coimbatore and confined her in a room and sexually assaulted her for every week. He attempted to persuade her to offload Vijendiran declaring that his cousin would now not be a great fit for her. He insisted her to marry him.
In the meantime, the minor lady’s mother lodged a grievance with the all-woman police in Sethiathope declaring that the lady went missing since March 11, 2017. On finding out that police have launched a hunt for the minor lady, Sathiamoorthy brought her to Srimushan in Cuddalore district and escaped.
The lady approached the all-woman police and narrated the ordeals she had undergone. The police booked him under Section 6 (punishment for irritated penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and Section 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing a lady to compel her marriage) of the Indian Penal Code.
