COIMBATORE: To get away from the clutches of her 42-year-old stepfather, who were sexually abusing her for months, a 15-year-old woman together with her eight-year-old sister ran away from their house at Narasimmanaikenpalayam, reached town and contacted Childline officials. Thanks to intervention of the officials, the sisters at the moment are in a home functioning below the kid welfare committee (CWC).
Police have arrested the abuser, recognized as S Muthuraj, a resident of Karunanithi Nagar at Saibaba Kovil. “The victim were dwelling together with her mom, more youthful sister and Muthuraj at Narasimmanaikenpalayam after her father died a couple of years in the past. The accused had started to sexually harass her inside of months,” a police officer stated.

Police registered a case below segment 7 read with 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and arrested Muthuraj. He was remanded in judicial custody and lodged within the Coimbatore Central Prison.
