Hubballi: Members of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) protested in front of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) workplace close to the railway station right here on Thursday condemning the alleged systematic dismantling of BSNL through executive insurance policies and non-payment of earned wages to contract employees engaged in the telecom company.
The protesters said CITU determined to increase improve to the continuing combat to give protection to the most important telecom public sector company of the country. They charged that the union executive was once systematically dismantling BSNL.

The executive will have to take steps to improve BSNL and lengthen all of the sources, vital spectrum and fiscal improve to run it in a other folks friendly way, they suggested.

The protesters said contract employees engaged through BSNL at different places of work and exchanges weren't paid earned wages for more than six months.


It is the main duty of the important employer to ensure the charge of earned wages with none lengthen as in line with the provisions of the Contract Labour Act 1970, they said.


They also demanded the government to solve the problems related to contract employees and development of BSNL at the earliest.
