SURAT: Two persons have been arrested for obstructing a police constable from performing his responsibility in Hirabag Circle of Varachha within the town on Friday. They had forcibly taken away the seized scooter of a lady after which beat up the cop. Both have been introduced in a courtroom which ship them to judicial custody. Police are on the lookout for two different accomplices of the accused.
Traffic police had seized a scooter left via its proprietor at a no automobile parking space in Hirabag circle of Varachha. A woman began shouting at policemen after they towed away her scooter at 9.30pm on Thursday. Alpesh Baldha, 36, a construction contractor, and Nitin Dhakaliya, 24, a pupil, got here to her rescue. One of them stationed his automobile in front of the towing crane and tried to drag out a police officer from it.
A crowd surrounded the traffic policemen. The two accused together with some people beat up a police constable and tried to grab his cell phone. When workers of the towing crane tried to come back to the rescue of the cop, they have been overwhelmed up too.
A woman police officer said, “Some people not simplest took away the woman’s scooter, however 3 extra vehicles from the towing crane. We arrested two persons for obstructing a government officer from performing his responsibility, stealing seized properties and dangerous policemen. The accused were booked underneath IPC sections and Motor Vehicles Act.”
