In February 2017, Pallavi Rabinathan Dugar, 39, browsed online to find a health centre near her house and noticed Fitness Time on Pottery Road. She left her quantity, following which a woman, who known herself as Manu, contacted her.

Dugar claims Manu known as her many times and persuaded her to enrol for an annual membership at the health centre. Dugar visited the gymnasium, but found it filthy and crowded.
