SURAT: A 40-year-old widow was once found lifeless in her space in Rampura space of the city on Thursday evening. Police suspect illicit courting to be the reason for the murder, however are yet to get any clue about the one who performed the crime. They are looking on the CCTV footages of the world to 0 in on the suspect.
Reshma alias Rehmat Krishnakant Shastri lived in her space with 25-year-old disabled stepson. Lalgate police received a call at nine.15pm about the girl mendacity in her space in a pool of blood with her throat slit.
She was once rushed to Lokhat Hospital the place the medical doctors declared her lifeless. A police officer said, “Her throat had a single wound, making respiring tricky for her. She died inside of a couple of hours of the attack.”
The police officer said Reshma was once married to a person from Kholwad and bore him two sons. However, their marriage didn’t work and she took divorce and were given married to Krishnakant Shastri who succumbed to cancer inside of three years. The police officer said Reshma did tailoring work to earn her livelihood and led a lonely lifestyles. “The cause isn't yet clear to us, however illicit courting can’t be ruled out. We have recorded a couple of statements of other people. The girl was once with her stepson in the home when she was once murdered.”
