AGRA: A woman and her two teenage daughters had been found dead in suspicious circumstances inside of locked toilet at their residence in posh locality of Pandav Nagar, Shahganj police jurisdiction on Sunday evening.
The victims had been known as Ritu Dhupad (38), and her two daughters Kayara (three) and Sachika (6), who hailed from well-to-do family. Ritu’s husband Rohit Dhupad owns garment retailer in Jaipur area, whilst her better half's father Dr Navin Dhupad and partner's mother Vimla run pharmacy. On Monday, after autopsy of the victims' corpses, their relations took them for cremation.
"Prima facie we don't suspect any foul play, as the house was locked from inside and there was no other sign in the house which suggest trespass or confrontation among the victims or anyone else. The matter came to light after the victim's husband Rohit Dhupad, broke down the door (locked from inside) with the help of a neighbour and found his wife and two daughters dead inside bathroom at around 7:30 pm," stated station area officer Rajeshwar Tyagi of Shahganj.
On Sunday night time at round 7, Ritu’s mom Rajrani called Rohit on his phone, after she failed to contact Ritu. Sources stated, “Rohit too called Ritu to investigate, but she didn’t attend the phone, after which he left for house and found the door locked from inside of. With the help of neighbours, Rohit broke down the door and saw his wife and two daughters mendacity subconscious in toilet and right away took them to non-public health facility, the place they had been declared introduced dead.”
After the incident, Shahganj police along side SP town and CO Lohamandi reached the spot.
SHO Tyagi stated, “Ritu was remaining seen alive at round 1:20 pm which was showed from a CCTV footage from the neighbour’s area. She was out on colony side road for some paintings, after her better half's father left for pharmacy at 1:10 pm. Her movement was captured in CCTV digicam. During investigation, we found the 1000-litre water tank of the home empty, and the water tap of bathroom was also open. The LPG cylinder too was part empty. It seems that someway the LPG gasoline utilized in geyser, leaked in toilet whilst Ritu was giving shower to her two daughters. Though, there's air flow in the bathroom, but the exhaust fan was no longer operating.”
“After autopsy, victims viscera has been preserved for further forensic examination,” he added. By the time this report was filed, there was no written criticism from Ritu's parents. After cremation, police group will question Rohit and different members of the family within the case.
Youngest amongst two siblings, Kayara, was just lately admitted in convent faculty and was to celebrate her fourth birthday on February 27. Her elder sister Sachika was a pupil of Class 1.
