THANE: Two drug peddlers had been arrested and 25kg ephedrine price Rs three crore was seized from Bhayander on Saturday. The rural police has known the accused as Yogesh Shah and Sadev Jamadar. While Shah is a material service provider, the other accused is an auto motive force, said Thane rural SP Shivaji Rathod.
The police said that they'd won a tip-off that two males had been going to return to a lodge in Bhayander with the contraband. A police crew, led via senior inspector Ram Balsingh, laid a lure and nabbed the accused.
The accused had been booked under Sections 9(A), 25(A) and 29 of the NDPS Act.
“Our crew is making an attempt to determine the supply of the drug and to whom it was going to be offered,” said assistant superintendent of police Atul Kulkarni.
During interrogation, the accused claimed that he was in ownership of the medication for the reason that ultimate one-and-a-half yr.
