Badaun: 65-year woman killed in bull attack

BAREILLY: Stray bulls continue to wreak havoc in Badaun. In yet any other incident, a stray bull killed a 65-year-old lady in Deherpur village beneath Dataganj police station in Badaun on Thursday. This is the 3rd such incident since January.

The lady - known as Shanti Devi, spouse of Dori Lal - was on her way to a field close to Myau Road when the stray bull unexpectedly charged, lifted and threw her at the ground. She succumbed to her injuries ahead of her family may take her to a medical institution.

Kunwar Bahadur Singh, sub-divisional magistrate, Dataganj, mentioned, “Shanti Devi died after she was attacked by means of a stray bull. According to provision, we can provide reimbursement in such a case if the deceased is below 60 years of age.”


Singh added, “Following the directives of state government, we have set up safe haven houses for stray livestock within the district. Even a safe haven home for cows with a capacity of 150 is purposeful at Deherpur village. It seems that the bull got here from any other village.”


Stray livestock threat has claimed 3 lives in Badaun within the closing 3 months. A 30-year-old farmer was killed by means of a stray bull within the district’s Mugara Jarasi village on January 26. Here too, the victim, Ram Lareta, was working in his farm when he was unexpectedly attacked by means of the bull. Other farmers then took him to a district medical institution where he was declared as brought useless.


In any other assault, a bull killed a 13-year-old boy after escaping from a short lived safe haven home in Badaun’s Bilsi the town on January 10. The young boy was known as Dharamveer, a category V pupil and a resident of ward quantity 3 in Bilsi.
